The SoMa Legal Blogs create an environment in which the citizens of SoMa (Southern Maryland) and the legal community which serves them, can freely and openly discuss legally related issues. Bloggers should feel comfortable posting anything and everything related to the legal happenings in their community. Questions, concerns, current events, interesting cases, personal stories, positives, and negatives, should all be “blogged about” here. One can register and become an author, which enables a user to create new “sub-blogs”, or one can anonymously comment on posts without giving any information at all. Litigants, attorneys, police officers, concerned citizens, and the rest of the community, should view these blogs as a public service. These blogs are simply another positive tool which helps to ensure that the delicate balance of checks and balances present in our legal system are adequately maintained.
